Niklas Rechfelden (*1998 in Austria) studies manual and material culture at the New Design University St.Pölten. His work is mostly sculptural and includes a humoristic approach. This is also reflected in his work “Kehramik” which is a play on words. With the work Kehramik he wanted to show how beautiful an everyday object, in this, case a “Kehrschaufel” can be, only by changing its materiality. The idea of combining an object used to sweep up dirt with a clean, noble and high-quality material is ambivalent.
